CHAIN LOCKING
CHAIN LOCKING SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC DIE-CUTTING MACHINES
This device enhances the safety of machine operators. It is a critical safety feature, as required by current European Union safety regulations. If any of the machine's guards are opened, the device reacts by locking the drive chain in place. This action is triggered by a mechanical movement generated by air pressure (or, in the event of a pneumatic system failure, by a compression spring). During this process, the device extends locking pins (hooks) that engage between the chain links, preventing any movement. Consequently, the operator can work inside the machine with complete safety. Once the operator closes the final guard, the device automatically releases the chain, allowing the machine to be started.
